I did a number of ice bath challenges in 2023.
I thought the first thing in the morning plunge would be great for me, but I found I was tired within 3 hours of plunging.
Then I tried late night plunges. That gave me strange dreams, interrupted my creative ideas time of the day and made for a rough night.
Then I did a late morning challenge... and I had energy all day and no weird dreams.
Then I did an early afternoon challenge, and I had energy all day, and only sometimes had weird dreams.
What did this teach me?
That it's not just about the practice, it's also about timing the practice.
